Monk

Every now and then, a poor family needs some money or food or protection. At the hardest of times when there is no other choice...families have been known to sell their children to one of the many Temples of Delnor. The Temple only takes those younger than 4. In return, the child devotes his life to the disciplinary ways of the Temple, and the families get that which they need. The child is trained to be a Monk of the Temple. Monks have no need for money or items. All a Monk cares about is achieving an inner peace. In searching for this inner peace, the Monks of Delnor have turned to the Martial Arts. Thru inflicting great amounts of pain by hand, the Delnor Monks believe they may one day achieve inner peace...

Unique Skills and Benefits: The Monk is yet another one of the 'Hitter' Classes on RO. The Monk gets exceptional hitpoint gains, but the purchasing of HPs is fairly expensive. Once the Monk reaches 850 hps, he can only buy hitpoints at 350 million xp per buy! The Monk will only wear the Clothes the Temple provides him. He has no need for money or platinum. However, the Monk learns different fighting Styles. Each Style is an improvement on the one before it, and each style costs XP. As the Monk purchases a newer and more powerful Style, he grows in power. Each Style is taught by a different Master, and each Master can be located throughout the world. It is said he who learns from the great Master Sam Seed will be a force to make all foes tremble.

Difficulty Rating: Hard (and tedious). When compared to the Monks of RO3, these new Monks are no where near the hitter at Level 50. However, by the third 'style', the Monk will have started to hit harder. The 13th Style, taught by Sam Seed, will leave the Monk an incredible force that any Tank would be foolish to not use as a hitter on any big loot mob. Due to the fact that the Monk isn't an impressive force until his 7th Style, most Players will likely choose a Class with more noticable benefits that come sooner. However, for the Player who decides to stick it out as a Monk, it can be a very rewarding experience.
