
The first of this order appeared on our world in order to catch a demonic soul that was fleeing its final destruction. After catching the foul creature in its newly made lair, the High Paladin of Calaron looked around and saw the darkness that was slowly consuming this new world. He decided to stay and teach others his secret craft, so that these lands would not suffer under the evils that have plagued so many civilizations throughout time. Since their inception 100 years ago, the Paladin Order of Calaron have banished more than 1000 demons and devils back to their home plane, and exiled several would-be tyrants from the lands of man. This has given them a respect among the common folk, but it also breeds fear because there are none in this order who have any patience for treachery and evil.
Difficulty Rating: Moderate. The main thing here is knowledge of areas, mobs and EQ. A Paladin with Shield Block is a good tank, but he doesn't earn hitpoints as easily as Warriors and Rangers. Regardless, his ability to block incoming hits and an increased capability in rescuing making the Paladin a good choice as a tank, althought it is harder to master.
Bash - The art of bashing is the ability to knock your target to the ground. Level: 1 - Primary Attribute: STR
Lay Hands - The Paladin heals the target by laying his hands upon them. Level: 5 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Rescue - Rescue allows a character to throw themself in front of a target of a mob, thus taking the damage and leading the attack on the mob. Level: 5 - Primary Attribute: STR
Doorbash - The art of Doorbashing is the ability to attack a door at its weak spot to knock the door off its hinge. This way someone can get around such silly things as locks. Level: 8 - Primary Attribute: STR
Warcry - The Paladin's warcry strikes fear (and causes damage) to everyone not in their group. Level: 15 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Disarm - The skill of disarming is simple. You use your weapon or hands to knock the weapon out of the hands of your attacker. Level: 22 - Primary Attribute: DEX
Protection from Evil - The target of the spell gains protection from Evil attackers. Level: 26 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Bless - The Paladin asks a blessing from his god. Multiple results are possible. Level: 30 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Dodge - The skill of dodging is a simple one. If someone tries to hit you, you get out of the way while keeping your wits about you; you do not lose attacks or open yourself to more attacks. Level: 35 - Primary Attribute: DEX
Read Magic - This skill allows a character to read magical scrolls. Level: 40 - Primary Attribute: INT
Track - Track is the ability to track nearby people or creatures. The Paladin is able to track down a target that is in the same area. Level: 40 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Call Horse - The Paladin is able to call forth a warhorse to fight for him. Level: 50 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Ride - The Paladin is able to ride a Warhorse. The Paladin can attack while riding and the Warhorse will attack also. Level: 50 - Primary Attribute: WIS
Create Light - The caster creates a ball of light that can be used to light dark rooms. The ball will last forever. Level: 5
Bless - The target's ability to hit is temporarily increased. Level: 10
Cure Blindness - This spell gives the Paladin the ability to cure the blind. Level: 22
True Sight - The target can see invisible at a far greater distance now. Level: 30
Fly - The target is able to fly. Level: 30
Faerie Fog - Anyone or anything hiding or sneaking is revealed by the mists. Level: 35
Remove Paralysis - The target of this spell is freed of paralysis. Level: 40
Remove Curse - The Paladin is able to remove any curses on the target, whether player or item. Level: 40
Word of Recall - The caster is taken back to where he entered the game. Level: 45
Hold Person - The target is held in a stasis field for two rounds. This spell affects immune-paralyze mobs for one round. Level: 50
