Dwarves are known for their skills in warfare, their ability to withstand physical and magical punishment, their knoweldge of the earth's secrets, their hardwork, their inability to shave, and their capacity for drinking ale. They are suspicious of strangers, but generous and loyal to those who earn their trust. They fight neither recklessly nor timidly, but with a measured courage and tenacity. Their sense of justice is strong, but at its worst can quickly turn to a thirst for vengeance. Dwarves stand only about 4-4.5 feet tall, but they are so broad and compact they weigh as much or more as a human.
